Gracie a Astronaut?

We went to the science factory last week during our winter break. Grace had fun playing astronaut, and loved learning about recycling, and conserving water and energy. She is now likely to ask you if you turn off the facet while brushing your teeth. She also had fun playing with shaving cream and food coloring in their project room. Lastly she and Whitney looked pretty cozy hugging so I couldn't help but add it in also.

Christmas Christmas Christmas

Paige was ecstatic about all the great things she got, even her new hat which looks super cute on her.

We were (Rob and I) so happy to buy lots and lots of cars and trucks this year. After almost 8 years of dolls, barbies, everything pink, we were as happy as crew to play with his toys. He seriously loves driving around his new cars.

Christmas at the McFarlanes

Paige was gracious enough to take a family picture of all of us without her, we were to lazy to set the timer. Whitney loved Christmas enough to smile for pictures the whole day. And Paige and Grace decided hugs were a really great thing especially when they just gave you a present.

Snow Clothes

We are gearing up for Thanksgiving in Sunriver (our annual tradition). We were trying to figure out what we have and what we need to go sledding, and snowshoeing with the kids. Whitney is excited....really. We are excited because these snow boots have now made it through 3 kids. We are going to go over the hot pink (which you can see in the picture) with a black sharpe when Whitney grows out of them so that they will actually go through 4 kids. Yippie. And if you were wondering those are the hardwood floors Whitney is standing on. Although unfinished the entire downstairs (well except for the kitchen and entry which we still can't decide what we are doing with) now have barnwood floors. We still don't have furniture in the downstairs (its been 8 weeks) but I am hopeful to have it back in before the Christmas dinner I am hosting on Dec. 6th (no pressure Rob) (really no pressure).

Crew

This is a picture of Crew from this past August. We were at a "Dude Ranch" in Virginia for a McFarlane family reunion. Isn't he so cute! I put it on my computer today as my backdrop and everytime I see it, it makes me smile. He is a happy little guy.

Veteran's Day

For the long weekend I took the kids up to Albany to stay at my sisters house and then to the Veteran's day parade to watch Jordan (their cousin) in his middle school band. It was a really nice day and we went for a walk along the river afterwards.

Fall Leaves

We decided it was time to rake the leaves. We of course made big piles to jump into. It was so much fun. Whitney however, wasn't so excited to take a picture of course so she hid in blueberry. Crew on the other hand loved laying in the leaves. He really wanted to eat them, but we just let him roll around in them for a while. Happy fall!!!

Beef Jerky

We caught Whitney eating this huge, like as big as her head huge, piece of beef jerky. At least she is getting her weekly serving of protein taken care of in one sitting.

I'm having fun!

OK so Whitney stayed a little bit sour through the pumpkin patch field trip until we bought doughnuts. It was extremely muddy from a week of heavy rain. So we literally had two inches of mud stuck to the bottom of our boots. It is still stuck to the floor mats in "blueberry". Back to the doughtnuts however, we went to Lee's doughnuts. Seriously the best doughnuts I may have ever had. It was a proud day for me to only 4 out of the dozen I bought. I shared with Rob, Whitney had one, then I gave the rest to Cheer. She probably thinks it was me saying thanks for watching Crew for me, however, it was really so I wouldn't eat the rest of the box. Which of course I would have.

Baby Crew

So some of you may not have seen Crew before. He is absolutely amazing. Since I am just getting around to posting photos I am putting this one from last February on. He is 3 months old and already sooooo handsome. This is his Oh I am so satisfied look. The diaper is obviously clean, he is obviously well fed (from the size of his cheeks), and life is good.

Scary Witch

Paige is really not a scary witch. She is a really cute witch. We really don't know how this girl got to be so photogenic, its perplexing, and really quite amazing, but hey as a parent of course we think shes talented, smart, and beautiful. She wanted to be a vampire bat for Halloween (I don't know where that came from), but we stumbled upon the witch costume and she loved it.

Gracie, Gracie, Gracie

Thats our girl. Well at least one of them. Gracie is such a ham. We were looking at the goats. I guess she is practicing her sign language. I am not sure exactly which sign was for us and which was for the goats.

Oh Whitney

We have always believed Whitney has the most convincing pout. Here is the proof. I went with her on her school fieldtrip to the Pumpkin Patch. You'd think she was getting shots or something. She really did have a great time. This is just her picture face. She is so funny.

Our little cutie

This was how Crew spent his time at the pumpkin patch. He loved it!!!! Isn't he adorable though really. Seriously he is so darn cute it is really hard just to let him sleep sometimes.

Here I go trying to take a sec to actually update our life online. Here are the kids. October has been a great month for our family. We have been to the pumpkin patch several times. The weather has been suprisingly great, and we have spent as much time outdoors as possible. We know winter is on the way and rain for months to come. The kids are all amazing. Its shocking how much they change, and how fast. Halloween was today and we all (except Crew because he is super sick) have had a great time. In case you were wondering are drapes are tied up in the background because when we let brownie our bunny out she likes to chew on them. Also, the girls happen to be standing on our new hardwood floors. They are not quite finished yet. Hopefully sometime this year. However they look good in the picture. As long as you don't run across them barefoot (you will get slivers, trust me I know) they are great. Rob has been working really hard on them. If you don't know the story, well its long and I will post it with a different picture.

Happy Sunday

So I decided during Whitney and Crew's naptime today to set up a blog. We will see how it goes. Life here is going great. We are all growing, and and we are all so happy summer is coming.
