P.S-After renting houses and apts for the first 9.5 years of marriage my opinion of owning a home is that it is slighty over-rated. I have fond memories of calling the landlord for things like, "hey our hot water heater is not working", and "hey our garage door opener is broken", and "will you pay for the grass seed to replant the backyard?" etc. etc. etc.

Our Barnwood Floors

I am drooling over your floors! They are the coolest ever. AND to hear your husband literally tore down a barn to get the wood... he's my hero.
I must confess, I am a bit envious. I love love love old barn wood. They look great and I bet even worth the wait.
LOVE THEM!!! When is Rob coming over to ours? (kidding of course)
I love all of your updates. If you guys ever move (but DON'T because we would really miss you)- I'll totally buy your house! I hope you don't mind I add you as a friend on my blog. -A
The floors look great! I can't believe Rob did all that work. That's so cool. BTW, I think the grass is always greener- I wish so badly we owned our own place (especially here in SF), but I'm sure you're right in that when it comes to doing all the fix-it stuff, it's sure nice to just call the landlord.=)
Alright Lady when are you going to update the blog. I am dying to see some cute mug shots of your kids.
Okay, those pictures show the wood, but you could have taken those shots at Home Depot (or Jerry's). I want some bigger shots of the flooring in the rooms.
For Rob's next project I suggest building a swing set for the back yard using the metal from an old Russian Space Station.
